The Best Seven of 2017!

I think that I have used this phrase one too many times, but for emphasis sake here I go one more time. This has been by far the most competitive sevens series in a very long while, maybe even of all time.

For the first time, that gap between the traditional top sides and your underdogs was almost non existent, ilikua ukikaa vibaya unapigwa (That could only be properly expressed in swahili). Given the length of the series, clubs needed to build depth and this they did. Which can only be good for the sport in the country.

I could go on and on waxing lyrical over this year’s series, let us move on and pick the best seven players from the 2017 National sevens series. Before you ask, these seven were picked based mainly on consistency and individual impact to their teams performances.
