Homeboyz have been on the ascendancy in the first two legs, finishing third in Kabeberi following this up with a second place finish in Dala. If the Djs maintain that gradient, then it will be time for them to lift the title in Mombasa.

This pool looks fairly straight forward for the Homeboyz, and are clear favourites to top this pool at the end of day one. The axis of Augustine Lugonzo, Oscar Ayodi, Humphrey Mulama, Leonard Mugaisi and Michael Wanjala will be vital to the side’s campaign at the coast.

Nondies have also been on the ascendancy so far, lifting the Bowl title in Nairobi then bowing out at the Plate Semis in Kisumu. The side go to Mombasa currently lying in 8th spot on 18 points.

The white shirts will probably welcome back Biko Adema, who should add an extra dimension to the side.

Alongside the likes of Charles Kanyi, Peter Lugano, Filden Sinei and Brian Beckham, Nondies have the Arsenal to unlock any defence. Add to these the seasoned, Ben Nyambu with Cedric Odera and the white shirts can cause anyone problems on their day.

They should be able to make the cup competition from this pool and will be looking to better their performance in Dala.

Kisumu RFC seem to have regained their feet after their collapse last season. A Shield final appearance at Kabeberi followed by a Bowl final in their home leg, sees the Kondele boys currently in 11th spot on the overall log with 9 points.

The side will be looking to build on the performance at their backyard where they managed to beat Mwamba on their way to the Bowl final.

The 2014 Dala sevens Division II champions Thika RFC, round up the teams in Pool B. The Millars have been impressive in the second division, bowing out in the Cup semi final in Nairobi before going on to lift the title in Kisumu.

They will be looking to remain afloat in Mombasa and maybe raffle a few feathers while at it.

The highlight match in this pool will be between Homeboyz and Nondies, that one set to kick off at 4:18 pm, it will be the first meeting between the two this season. Thika RFC will probably fancy their chances against Kisumu, when the two clash at 3:06 pm.

Pool B fixtures ; 10:36 am – Homeboyz vs Kisumu, 10:54 am – Nondies vs Thika, 1:00 pm – Homeboyz vs Thika, 1:18pm – Nondies vs Kisumu, 3:06 pm – Kisumu vs Thika, 4:18 pm – Homeboyz vs Nondies.

Kesho, we look at the guys who will not have the luxury of a ‘Day 1’ at the coast…

KWISHA…Nimeruka Nje!!!
